NO ME VENGAN CON MILONGAS
Tango duo formed by the singer-actress Jimena González and the pianist-composer Fernando Herrera. Both born in Argentina they met each other living in Madrid, thanks to their passion for music and the constant artistic need to create personal projects that represent them.
Without losing the essence of the genre, Jimena and Fernando claim it in a modern and contemporary way in all its formats.
TANGO CONCERT
The duo offers a concert with Fernando's musical arrangements and Jimena's vocal expression, where the tango music mixes with poems, texts and also with video projections of images created to frame each moment.
"No Me Vengan Con Milongas" also offers another show in which, the musical duo is accompanied by one or two pairs of dancers. For more information you can enter here >>>

MILONGA
For the milongas, the duo has a repertoire of dance music. A selection of classics from different styles (milonga, waltz, tango) with musical arrangements specially designed for dancing.

BIOGRAFHIES
Jimena González
Performer. She was born in Argentina and trained as an actress, singer and dancer in Buenos Aires. She currently resides in Madrid.
She studied for more than 15 years the different disciplines with various teachers, some of them are: Helena Tritek, Julio Chavez (theater); Marcelo Velazco (singing); Elizabeth de Chapeaurouge (jazz and tap), Alfredo Gurquel (classic dance), Natalia Puccioni and Claudio Cardona (tango dance). She has graduated of the Julio Bocca - Ricky Pashkus Foundation in 2006, in the musical theater career.
She dedicated her carrer for more than 17 years to commercial theater. She worked in the most important theaters of Argentina and Spain. Her most outstanding works are: West Side Story"; "Sunset Boulevard" directed by Claudio Tolcachir; "Aladdin, it will be great" dir. Ariel del Mastro; "Shrek, The Musical"; "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" dir. Valeria Ambrosio; "Más de 100 Mentiras" dir. David Serrano; "Beauty and the Beast"; "The Producers"; "Por Amor a Sandro", "La Celia" dir. Emilio Sagi; "Kinky Boots" dir. Ricky Pashkus; "Pingo Argentino " by Enrique Pinti and "Lord" by Pepe Cibrián Campoy; among others.
Nominated seven times for the "Hugo Awards" of Argentine Musical Theater, she won twice for: "Best Female Performer" and "Best Female Ensemble".
At the same time, she always participated in alternative projects of
the off circuit of theater in Buenos Aires. Since 2014 she began to create her own projects. The last one is "Piano Blanco", a one-person musical theater monologue. She has already performed in Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Madrid, Barcelona, Ciudad Real and participated in the festivals: "Festival Singular de Narón" in Galicia; and "FITA" International Theater Festival of Alentejo, Portugal.
In addition to the theater, she developed a vast career as a singer. She has participated in concerts of artists such as the duo "Pimpinela", "Valeria Lynch", Cris Manzano, Johnny Tedesco, among others.
In the last years she specialized in jazz and tango, accompanied by prestigious musicians. Her first jazz concert was at the Moliere Theater in San Telmo, accompanied by a jazz quartet with the direction of Hernán Matorra.
With the pianist Pablo Citarella performed in La Biblioteca Café with varios concerts, at the Maipo Kabaret in the cycle "Between Cups and Songs", at Borges Café in the cycle "Pretexts for piano and voice", among others.
In 2017, she also worked as the singer of the tango house show "Señor Tango" located in the La Boca neighborhood.
In Madrid with the pianist Juan Esteban Cuacci formed the tango duo "Cardinal", which was characterized by fusing music with theatrical poetry. Giving presentations in Madrid, they closed their cycle at Café Berlin.
In 2022 with Fernando Herrera formed the tango duo "No Me Vengan Con Milongas", with which they performed tango song concerts fused with poetry of their authorship. In addition to the concerts, they perform at milongas with a repertoire with musical arrangements for dance. They have made several tours through France and Spain. In addition to the duo, they have a quartet called "Vale 4."
In Europe, as a tango singer, she was also part of "Hyperion Ensamble", "La Atypical Orquetsa del Retrío" and soon in "La Argenta Típica".
As a teacher, she taught classes or courses at the art schools of Reina Reech, Proscenio, Julio Bocca, Valeria Lynch, Patricia Sosa, SOM Academy, Edimey Estudio, among others.
She is a singing teacher and has been giving vocal training to students privately for almost 10 years.
Fernando Herrera
He was born in Argentina and he is a profesional pianist, piano teacher and cinematographer. Since 1998 he lives in Spain where he made most of his career.
As Musical Director and Pianist he worked in the shows “El Tango y el Vino”, “Copla y Tango” at the Teatro Alcalá; and in “Tango Club”, a work of his authorship, at the Amaya Theater.
He also wrote the orchestrations for the Tango Orchestras "Recuerdo" in Madrid and "Patio de Tango Argentino" in Extremadura, among others. He created the “Orquestango” company, with which he went on tour with the show “Gardel, el Mito del Tango”. In 2018 he formed the group "Vale 4", a
small Tango orchestra
for dancing, with which he made a Europe tour. Another project that he
created and is still working is “The Fernando Herrera Tango-Jazz Band”, a fusion band that accompanies with his live music the Silent Films of Charles Chaplin.
He made several Europe tours either as a singing pianist, as a pianist accompanying of renowned singers such as: Mariana
Carrizo, Nito Mestre, Angel Petisme, Malena Muyala, among others.
In Argentina he was part of different bands and rock groups such as "Prismáticos" or "Axiss". He toured Argentina with his one-man show “El Otro Tango”.
He also participated in the “Memphis La Blusera” Tour, as the pianist for the supporting band.
In 2022 he joined to Jimena González to form the tango duo "No Me Vengan Con Milongas". The duo make tango concerts fused with poetry. They also perform in milongas with a repertoire for dancing, with arrangements of his own. They have made several tours in France and Spain and they are currently recording the duo's first album. In addition they have another formation, whether in trio or quartet, the group is called "Vale 4" and the music also has his arrangements.
In June of this year, he will present at the Café Berlin "La Argenta Típica", a typical tango orchestra with more than ten musicians. Being the director and arranger of the music, designed for dancing in the milonga.
